Anderson Dies at Spring Hill; Buried Saturday. Mrs. J. A. Anderson, 80, died Friday at 2 o'clock a.m., after a long illness at her home in the Spring Hill community. Surviving are the following children: O.R. Anderson, of Jack; Mrs. J.D. Coskrey and R.T. Anderson, of Brundidge; M.J. Anderson, of Albany, Ga.; G.C. Anderson, of Troy; Mrs. Herman Flowers, and J.I. Anderson, of Brundidge; Z.E. Anderson, of Jacksonville, Ala.; C.A. Anderson, of Troy; A.M. Anderson, of Brundidge. She is also survived by several grand and great-grand children, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral was held from the Union Springs church Saturday at 11 a.m., with Elder J.J. Richards, of Dozier, officiating. Burial was in the Church cemetery with McGehee and Jones in charge. Active pall bearers were: Jim Sanders, C.C. Bragg, Cliff Senn, Clyde Benton, Collie Goodson and R.J. Courson. Note: Nancy Catherine Thompson born 3 Oct. 1857 Pike Co, AL; d. 5 Nov.1937, dau. of Asa Thompson and Elizabeth Carpenter, and grand daughter of Stephen and Penny Thompson. Nancy C. Thompson was the third wife of Jordan Augusta Anderson.
