Funeral Set For Mrs. Phillips
Funeral services for Mrs. M. E. Phillips, age 60, will be held Wednesday 
afternoon at three o'clock. Mrs. Phillips passed away Monday night in a 
local hospital.
Survivors include the husband M. E. Phillips, Troy: one son Toni Phillips, Troy, 
one grand-daughter Marcia Phillips, Troy, mother; Mrs. Bertha Johnson, Panama City, Fla. 
one sister, Mrs. Margaret Scott, Birmingham, three brothers, 
Julian Johnson, Troy, Ohio, Harry Johnson, Panama City, Fla. and 
Fred Johnson, Crestview, Fla.
Dr. John Thomas and Dr. J. E. Tate will conduct the service from the 
First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park.
McGehee Funeral Home directing. Remains will lie in state at the church 
from 2 to 3 o'clock.
Active pallbearers will be William E. Wilkes, Ray Bozeman, Ray Pinekard, 
Gresham Johnson, W. H. Mosia??? (Can't Read), William K. Thompson. 
Honority pallbearers will be employees of the local Coca Cola Bottling Company, 
Members of the First Baptist Baracca Class and members of Kiwahis Club
