Mrs. Tomlinson, daughter of the later Mr. and Mrs. Perry Leon Fortune of Milton was a loving and faithful Navy wife for over twenty years. She traveled with her husband and family to various duty stations including Atsugi, Japan and Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, retiring to Pensacola in 1978. Throughout the years Mrs. Tomlinson was hostess to many military friends and families and will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include her husband, CDR A. C. "Tom" Tomlinson, USN Retired of Pensacola; two daughters, Karen Gearin of Jacksonville, N. C. and Beth Holdstein of Havelock, N. C.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Holdstein of Havelock, N. C.; a brother Edmond Fortune of Pace; a sister Mary Dell Grant of Ft. Walton Beach; a sister and brother-in-law, Margery and Jim Garvery of New Smyrna Beach; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 1992 at Oak Lawn Chapel with Rev. Fred Rogers, Pastor of Milton First Assembly Church officiating. OAK LAWN FUNERAL HOME, directing. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
