Special probate Court, November 29, 1859 This day came E. Y. Williams, adm'r with the will annexed, of the estate of James Williams, dec'd, and filed his petition for the sale of the following lands belonging to said estate for a divison among the heirs and legatees of the same, aledging that an equal divison cannot be made without the sale thereof, to wit: The W 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of S. 3 T. 11. R. 19 The E 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of S. 3 T. 11 R. 19 The NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 in S. 4. T. 11 R. 19 He further aledges that Keziah Uruqhart, wife of Thomas Urquhart and John Williams, who reside in the State of Florida, Wiley W. Williams, who resides in the State of S. C. are non resident heirs and legatees of said estate; it is therefore ordered by the Court that the 2nd Monday in January 1860, be set for a hearing of said petition, that notice be given by publication in the Independent American for three consecutive weeks, notifying the above named non resident heirs and ligatees and all other interested to be and appear at my office on the 2nd Monday in Jan'y to show cause, if any they have, who said petition should not be granted. T. 11 R. 19 The NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of S. 10 T. 11 R. 19 Also, at the same time and the place, 2 bay horses, one pony, one wagon, 4 head of pork hogs, 37 head of stock hogs, more or less, one rockaway and harness, one lot of old plows, one lot of hoes and axes, 25 head of cattle, more or less, 2,000 lbs. fodder, more or less, one table, 8 chairs, 2 safes, one clock, also, 12 likely slaves, consisting of men, women, and children. Additional Comments: The names were typed as written, the following year these were to be paid was 1861. We know what made history at that time. I'm sure the estate collected the under $5.00 cash. There was also contested of this estate by Clayton/Carter in right of their wives need help with this kin. Also a sign off of any rights by Zachariah (?) Williams in Conecuh Co. Al. Any help on relationships mentioned is greatly appreciated. E. Y. Williams, Julia M. Lawrence, Joanna Hufham, John Allen Williams, Keziah L. Urquhart, Nancy A. M. Dendy, Elizabeth Barnett were brothers and sisters. John Allen Williams and wife Catharine Urquhart, Keziah L. Urquhart husband Thomas had moved to Florida 1854. John Allen Williams/Catharine's son, Rev. John Lafayette Williams b. 1832 Mont/Pike Co. Al. d. 1888 Hazlehurst GA Methodist (E) minister over 30 yrs in N. F. and S. GA. Keziah L. Urquhart and Thomas Urquhart's son, John Frank Urquhart b.1841 in Pike Co. Al. was also a Methodist Minister he died August 19, 1864 near Albany, GA. pg. 194 Urquhart, J. F.
