McCook ref. # pg. 60 1915 Mrs. Lucina C. McCook, nee Williams, b. in Pike Co. AL Jun 15, 1836, her father being a local preacher. (*This would have made John Allen Williams her father, a local preacher in Pike Co. AL. this is first I've seen this) At the age of 10 she was converted and joined the Methodist church, beginning a life of earnest, faithful, loving service for the Master and her fellow-man. Moving to Fl. in 1857 with her parents settled in Hernando Co. where on Oct 18, 1854 she linked her fortunes to those of Rev. Samuel A. McCook of the FL conf. having 6 children in this preachers' home two became preachers, Rev. M. K. F. McCook, formerly of this conference and some years since deceased, the Rev. S. A. McCook. In the lonely years of widowhood and the feebleness of old age the pure gold of her Christian character shone forth and she proved indeed a vessel of grace fitted for the Master's use, on July 8, 1915 fell sweetly asleep in Jesus, and went up to rest and wait. by H.
