The above named parties) Given under my hand and seal, this the 6th day of November 1865 A. D. and of the Independence the United Confederate States Of America the Ninth year. Durham W. The State of Alabama---Pike County KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That we Enoch Renfroe and Geofrey William (not sure the first name is correct) are held and firmly bound unto the State of Alabama, in the penal sum of two hundred dollars; for payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, and each and every of our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by those present. Sealed with our seals, and dated the 6th day of November A. D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Five. The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That if there be no lawful cause why Enoch Renfroe and Mary Jane Bass should not be joined together in holy union of Matrimony, then this obligation to be void; otherwise, to remain in full force and virtue.
