Z. Terry Shanks Sept. 4, 1949
Funeral services for Z. Terry Shanks, 53, of Banks, AL. who died at a local 
hospital this morning after a long illness, will be held from his home Saturday 
afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Rev. Hal Guice McLeod, of Banks, officiating. 
Burial will be in Banks Cemetery with McGehee in charge.
Active pallbearers will be: Will Tom Hollis, Dr. Ed D. Shanks Jr., Brantley Crawley, 
J. E. Brantley, Ralph Adcock, Charles Brantley, Furman Smith and Durwood Tabon.
He is survived by widow, Mrs Mildred Hollis Shanks, of Banks; four sisters, 
Mrs Joe W. Smith, and Mrs Mae Brantley of Banks; Mrs B. B. Adcock, of Newton; 
Mrs William Hatcher of Ft. Pierce, Fla. two brothers, Dr. E. D. Shanks Atlanta, GA. 
and J. H. Shanks of Waterloo, Iowa.
