Died Warren Wilson

Old man Warren Wilson died at his home in the city last night. He has been 
a resident of this city a long time and has witnessed a great many changes. 
He was a sober peaceable and inoffensive citizen, respected by his friends 
and associates. He has reared a large family who survive him. He will be 
buried tomorrow at the new cemetery at 10 a.m.

***Notes***
Warren Wilson was born 13 November 1822, North Carolina, the son of 
James Wilson and Nancy Priest. Warren married Ruth Whittington, and 
they raised their six sons and two daughters in Troy. He was a 
Confederate Veteran. Warren died 23 January 1897 and is buried at the 
Oakwood Cemetery.
