Mr. Fortune was a native and lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Milton and taught the Young Adults Sunday School Class in that church for 30 years. He was a member of the Santa Rosa Masonic Lodge 16 F & AM. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Edmund and Ruthie Fortune of Pace; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Edward Grant of Fort Walton Beach, Betty and A. C. Tomlinson of Pensacola; a brother Thomas Fortune of Crestview; and a sister, Vannie Booker of Pensacola. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday in the chapel of Lewis Funeral Home with the Rev. T. Fred Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be: F. M. (Bubba) Fisher, W. L. Butler, Howard Barnes, Albert Golden, W. T. Stewart, H. S. Henderson, Pasco Gibson, and Dr. Rufus Thames. **Notes** Although it indicated he was a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County, he did spend a little time in south Florida.
