Mrs. Mary Boutwell Dies.
From Friday's Daily:

Mrs. Mary Boutwell, widow of the late Pete Boutwell, died on Thursday afternoon, 
after a long illness of a complication of diseases. She was seventy-eight years of age.
The funeral occurred this afternoon at Spring Hill Baptist Church at 3 o'clock, 
the funeral being preached by Rev. J.M. Loflin. The burial occurred at the Spring 
Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Boutwell was a good woman and had a host of friends who will deeply regret 
her death.

Mary Smith was born 12 June 1838 Georgia, daughter of Isaac Smith and 
Elizabeth Turner. She married 18 November 1858 to Jesse Bryant Thompson, 
having two children: Stephen and Elizabeth. Jesse died during the war, and 
on 24 February 1867 Mary Smith Thompson married Holly Boutwell, having four 
children: Isaac, Mary Elender, Letha Winnie and Daniel J. Boutwell.
