McLure, 78 of Troy Route 4 died after a long illness Thursday at 3 am. Surviving are three sons, S. E. McLure and W. R. McLure of Troy Route 4; Q. P. McLure of Barbour County; three daughters, Mrs. J. H. Blanton of near Troy, Mrs. A. W. Rose of Andalusia, Mrs. V. R. Jones of Troy; one brother Sam Carroll of Banks. She is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren who mourn her death. Funeral was held this (Thursday) afternoon at three o'clock from the home of her son W. R. McLure with Rev. Lon Renfroe officiating. Burial was in the Philadelphia Cemetery near Brundidge with Rhodes Funeral Home in charge. Active pallbearers were grandsons. ***NOTE*** Carrie McLure - Caroline Carroll married William Patterson McLure 11-21-1877. Sam Carroll - John Samuel Carroll Caroline & John Samuel Carroll were children of Samuel Brown Carroll & Caroline Isabella Andress. Samuel Brown Carroll was KIA in the Civil War. Mrs. V. R.
