Additional Comments:
Glenn was a private in Capt. A.P. Hunters Co. in Randolph Co.,Al.Reserves,
described as Blue eyed, Light hair, Fair complexion, 6'1" tall.

I sent in a group sheet on Glenn Colwell,Caldwell and I believe it has an error to whom his wife was. After doing more research I believe Melissa was a Grizzel,Grizzle instead of Joiner. I really don't remember who gave me the last name of Melissa as Joiner but I guess I jumped on the band wagon and said it was her too. If I remember correctly J. (Joseph) Grizzel appears in Henry Co., Ga. in 1850 along with some other Colwell,Caldwell's and in the 1860 Randolph Co. Census Joseph Grizzel is head of household in #1217 ahead of Glen and Melissa in # 1218 , which stated she married within the year. In the 1900 Clay Co., census Melissa's sister Mary Caroline Grizzel Turner (wife of Franklin M. Turner) is living 2 houses away from them. In the 1920 census Uncle Franklin Turner is living in the household of Charlie Jordan Kelley. For a long time could not figure out this connection. And finally after getting Thomas Wiley Caldwell's death certificates it gives his mother as Lizzie Grizzell. By the way Joseph Grizzel's father was Wiley,Wyley Grizzel, I guess this is where the middle name of Thomas came from.
